Nigeria FA given 48hrs to answer query over Coach Keshi’s salary

Coach Keshi'sThe Nigeria FA has been  given 48hrs to answer query why national coach Stephen Keshi is owed seven months’ salary.

Keshi, who is preparing Nigeria for November’s World Cup play-off second leg against Ethiopia  has openly said it that  he has not been paid salary for 7 months.

According to the NSC director general  Elegbeleye “This is unacceptable,” NSC director general , we’ve queried it. I don’t know why the NFF should owe the national coach. As far as I am concerned, it is a national embarrassment.”

Elegbeleye  was furious whilst he explained, adding that  “The coach is not like the secretariat staff, he is on a contract. Because their staff have not been paid does not mean the national coach should not be paid.

“If he gets sacked today, there is no gratuity, so why should he suffer?”

Zobo.ng has also learnt that The NFF is in serious financial difficulty as it is indebted to many other staff including the assistant coach Daniel Amokachi and goalkeeper trainer Ike Shorunmu.  Others who have recently  complained of not been paid incudes: Christian Chukwu, Shaibu Amodu, Samson Siasia, Austin Eguavoen, John Obuh and Eucharia Uche
