Nigeria is a country with “Modern Slavery’-Report .According to the an anti-slavery campaign group India, China, Pakistan and Nigeria have the highest numbers of people enslaved.Together with five other countries, they account for three-quarters of the total estimated number of people in modern slavery worldwide They also said  that India, China, Pakistan and Nigeria have the highest numbers of people enslaved.The Global Slavery Index 2013 says India has the highest number of people living in conditions of slavery at 14 million.Mauritania has the highest proportional figure with about 4% of its population enslaved. The group also said India’s ranking was mostly due to the exploitation of Indians citizens within the country itself.Nigeria slavery is mainly due to human trafficking where people have be enslaved whilst they pay back the money they promised their traffickers.In terms of proportion of its population, Mauritania ranked the worst – with as many as 4 per cent of its people regarded as slaves largely because they inherit the status from their ancestors.

Russia was the worst-faring European country in the list. With more than 500,000 people living in conditions of slavery, it ranked 49th in the proportionate table.

In absolute terms, China, Pakistan and Nigeria followed India, and along with the rest of the top 10 countries made up three quarters of the entire world’s population of people living in slavery.
