Lagos closes Mile 2 Badagry Expressway Due to Reconstruction

L-R-Chairman-Task-Force-Bayo-Suleiman-General-Manager-LASTMA-Engr.-Babatunde-Edu-Commissioner-for-Transportation-Comrade-Kayode-Opeifa-and-Chairman-Lagos-State-Park-Monitoring-Committee-Alhaji-Oladosu-FasDue to the ongoing reconstruction ,the  Lagos Badagry bound carriageway on the Expressway,will be closed to traffic between 7am and 12 noon today, to allow for construction of pedestrian bridge for the blue line rail project along the axis.

This is was disclosed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Comrade Kayode Opeifa.He said  this was part of  the plans to make sure the first phase of the Blue Line Rail Project is completed . Comrade Kayode Opeifa  also stated that the contractor, Messrs China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, CCECC, would be installing pre-cast beams for the pedestrian bridge to take commuters into the rail station at Mile 2 and across the road.

According to him : “The Badagry bound carriageway on the Lagos Badagry Expressway, will be closed to traffic between 7am and 12 noon on Sunday 20th October, 2013 to enable the contractor install the beams.
